Apple

Apple - an 8" x 8" Oil glaze paint on canvas cardboard. The glaze is made using up to 20 different layers of oil paint that have been suspended by the medium Galkyd. The various layers of paint trap light and allow it to expand within the painting giving it a glowing feeling. This technique was widely used by the old masters and the Artist Felipe Mendoza, hoped to capture a glimpse of past techniques in this modern beauty. A very affordable piece to any collector hoping to add to his/her collection of paints in the old world style.
